"For the children" usually really means, "This is a cause we can twist to make it seem like it will benefit children in order to advance our own liberal agenda." What really benefits children goes by the wayside.

You can tell this by looking at what people who claim to be "for the children" think about homeschooling. In spite of the research; in spite of the obvious benefits of homeschooling; in spite of the many kids now visible in society who are and have been successfully homeschooled; there is hardly anyone who claims to be "for the children" who supports homeschooling - because it doesn't fit their agenda.

If they were really looking at the benefits to children, they would be the first clamoring for private schooling, vouchers, and homeschooling.Marcy Muserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17787308098682419608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31025548.post-21183131205095868572007-06-10T01:05:00.000-06:002007-06-10T01:05:00.000-06:00I couldn't agree more! When it is for children, all common sense seems to go out the window.Hanley Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07363108115499781703noreply@blogger.com
